Our client had another pond built at his previous home, He knew the joys of having a pond from previous experience, but he also knew the pitfalls of having a pond that wasn't appealing looking with substandard filtration. So he enlisted us to create a masterpiece.

So we had a disaster happen back in December of 2014. This disaster left me holding a bill of $23,500. My insurance company denied my claim leaving me to wonder why have business insurance in the first place? Who has that kind of money just to write a check for? Thankfully I have this serendipitous luck, and the balance was able to be worked out with the disaster control company with this sweet landscaping job.

A few years back we did a pondless waterfall, a stacked stone bench, and a landscaping job for some great clients in Ponte Vedra. I went by to drop off some extra mulch, and Pam volunteered to do an impromptu testimonial. I asked if she would go on video, got prepped, and took video all in 1 take, within 3 minutes. I lost a minute trying to get Steve in the video, but he was in his yard work uniform, and declined. Haha!

Over the years I have grown an ironic and hypocritical view of weed fabric. I love it, and hate it all at the same time. It is essential under the right circumstances, and absolutely useless under others.

Living in Florida, and mowing grass since 1996 here, we have seen some wet yards. It is our, and our clients, preference to not mow when the grass is soggy. Our normal approach would be to do what we can, and let things dry out for next week. If we don't mow because it's too wet, we surely will do all of the other tasks we normally do.

So after almost 20 years of mowing lawns, I've come up with the #1 thing that HAD made people mad about our service, and how we have gained the most new customers via the same complaint from other lawn companies. What is it???

This is a project that I did earlier this year. A stone planter box is easy enough. So with the blessing of my client, I thought, "How can I turn this into art?" The whole idea came from one of our client's existing stones. It was solid, and when set on the ground lengthwise, the top had a slant to it. Then my gears started turning.
